Morgan J. Hayes Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
Morgan J. Hayes celebrates 15 years of success as an artist

PETALUMA, CA, November 17, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Morgan J. Hayes, Artist and Owner of MJHayes Designs, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in jewelry design.

Ms. Hayes began creating beaded art in 1995 after only one class in bead weaving from a master bead artist. The beauty and intricacy of the art sparked a passion for beads in every style, size and color. She also includes watches, glass bottles and interesting stones in her art work. Many pieces are embellished with free-form bead designs, high-quality crystals, various sizes of metal, bone, semiprecious stones and/or glass seed and specialty beads and, occasionally, cabochons or figure ornaments. In addition to her creative efforts in bead weaving, Ms. Hayes recently returned to painting, photography, and digital design. She also is a published poet and currently is working on a biographical book.

In early 1997, she became an active member of the Santa Cruz Art League in Santa Cruz, CA where her work frequently appeared in the Gift Shop and was accepted in several juried shows. In late 1997, she was the featured artist in the Galeria Tonantzin in San Juan Batista, CA. During 1997 and 1998, her work was sold in several gift shops in downtown Santa Cruz. When Ms. Hayes moved to Kansas in 1998, her work regularly appeared in gift shops and in the many juried shows of the Topeka Art Guild and the Columbian Gallery Artists in Wamego, KS.

On returning to California in 2002, Ms. Hayes became an active member of the Chico Art Center. Her work was regularly sold in the CAC gift shop and appeared in many juried shows. She also was invited to participate in The University Music Fest Artist Tent teaching bead design, the Taste of Chico Downtown Festival, and the Open Studios Tours. In 2009, Ms. Hayes moved to Petaluma, the heart of Northern California's art and wine country, where she became an active member of the Petaluma Art Association, participating in the annual Art in the Park show and in the St. Helena Harvest Festival.
